The IREDIANS is a comic book series that shows the importance of inclusion and the need for the elimination of discrimination against children with disabilities through the eyes of 5 of its protagonists who are children with disabilities, as superheroes.
A first of its kind in Africa, The IREDIANS is an inclusive comic book series that portrays how children with disabilities are able to join their voices together against stigmatization. Through this book, we are able to bring the message of inclusivity to children in a medium they love and in ways they can understand. At the IREDE Foundation, we use the IREDIANS to educate children in schools about disability and disability issues, teaching them on the dangers of discrimination and the advantages of inclusion, in turn improving the educational environment for children with disabilities.
