The IREDE Foundation is a registered 501(c) non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of child amputees in Nigeria and Africa.

• The IREDE Foundation is actively involved with 6 initiatives that wholistically define our programs and operations relating to improving the life of the Nigerian Child Amputee. This includes:

(i) Limb Empowerment through which we provide custom-made prosthetic limbs to child amputees at no cost to them.

(ii) Disability Advocacy, where we work to influence behavioral change through educating the general public about Limb loss, and disability issues, and push for the inclusion of persons with disabilities in all facets of society.

(iii) Out On A Limb, Our Global Disability Advocacy Walk is held annually to bring public awareness to disability issues and educate the public on limb loss and limb management.

(iv)  IREDIANS Advocacy where we educate children on disability issues through our Inclusive Comic Book known as ‘IREDIANS’ which features children with disabilities as superheroes.

(v) Psycho-social support provided to Child Amputees and their families to help them through the challenges they face with respect to limb loss.

(vi) Educational Support provided to child amputees in Nigeria, giving them equal access to quality education.

Child Amputees between the ages of 0-18 years are eligible for prosthetic limbs.

We provide the prosthetic limbs to the Child Amputees at Zero Cost. We also bear the cost for the maintenance and replacement of these limbs till the child is 18 years old.

The IREDE Foundation has provided up to 500+ prosthetic limbs to child amputees across the six geo-political zones of Nigeria.

Our headquarters is located in Nigeria at No. 15 Ramat Crescent, Ogudu, in Lagos State, with our US Office located at 5A, Gwynns Mills Court, Owing Mills, MD, 21117.6

 Out on A Limb is a 2-kilometer advocacy walk organized by the IREDE Foundation. The walk is held simultaneously around the globe every year, raising awareness about Children and Persons living with Disabilities in Society.
